The “Welcome Home” campaign was a multi-platform effort to drive anticipation for the Atlanta Braves’ inaugural season at SunTrust Park. By emphasizing the emotional aspects of home, the campaign elevated SunTrust Park beyond just a cool, new venue with plush amenities and groundbreaking technology.

The Project

To drive single game, season ticket and premium ticket sales for their inaugural season at SunTrust Park, the Atlanta Braves needed a comprehensive, multi-platform advertising campaign to engage each audience profile with a distinct value proposition that transcended the typical stadium experience.

How We Won the Heart

To position SunTrust Park as a truly unique ballpark experience, we had to go beyond the plush amenities, upgraded food options and state-of-the-art technology that has become the norm in modern stadiums. The Welcome Home campaign was thus born from the Braves’ Southern roots and the club’s commitment to providing family-fun entertainment. Infused with Southern hospitality and the distinct family culture of the Braves, the campaign positioned SunTrust Park as not just a new stadium, but a home, built for all of Braves Country. Every aspect of the campaign—from the park’s new features to the team’s young stars—was linked to the values of home, family and community.
